STOVE & OVEN PROBLEMS

WON’T IGNITE

If an electric stove does not turn on, first check if the appliance is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the stove is plugged in or if the pilot light is burning, that means another part will have to be fixed. The reason for the problem might be the infinite switch, surface element, oven igniter or broil and bake element.

OVEN WILL NOT HEAT

A stove or burner or oven that does not produce heat does not do much. An oven will not heat when there’s a broken bake element or oven sensor. A burner does not turn on when an element is broken or when the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We are able to repair these issues in less than 1-2 hours after we arrive.

PROGRAM ISSUES

You can assume the control board on a stove is broken if the timer or program settings do not work. In this case, we can replace control boards on LG, Sears, GE, KitchenAid, Kenmore and several other brands of ranges, stoves and ovens. We offer a warranty on control boards and the replacement parts we need for this type of stove repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You need a hot oven. Although not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it could be due to a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our technicians can identify the reason for the issue and fix it. Just be careful if troubleshooting this issue for fear of burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is that an igniter will glow but it doesn’t light. The cause is from a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We will determine whether we can repair these parts or if we need to replace the parts.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

Modern self-cleaning models of ovens sometimes experience door problems. The door doesn’t open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door closure, thermostat and seal to troubleshoot why the door does not open and then we complete the repair in order to fix the issue.
